1. Loop Head Lighthouse
The lighthouse is a major landmark on the northern shore of the Shannon River, with 90 metre high views of the sea down to Kerry Head and Dingle across the Shannon and up the Clare coast, to the Cliffs of Moher in the north. Loophead Lighthouse is one of the most important lights on the Irish Coast, guarding the entrance to the busiest river in Ireland, since 1670.
2. Cliffs of Moher Experience
One of Ireland’s favourite visitor experiences, the Cliffs of Moher tower over the rugged west Clare coast. Walk the safe, paved pathways and view the famous Cliffs on Europe’s western frontier, enjoying spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands.
3. Vandeleur Walled Garden & Visitor Centre
Take a moment to count the colours, feel the life, treat the senses. Then step inside and follow the story of one of Clare’s most beautiful botanical tributes to Ireland’s rich, natural history. Set amongst 170 hectares of native woodland, this hidden gem is nestled in the heart of Kilrush Wood, just 2 kilometres from the centre of Kilrush, County Clare.
