The Morrison Art Gallery
On Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th May. The Morrison Art Gallery displayed their work at the cliffs. Meeting and greeting visitors.
Phillip Morrison has a art gallery in the popular seaside town of Lahinch, with a second gallery in Doolin. His work celebrates the culture and landscape of Ireland and is often described as having a musicality to it. Strong colours and movement are key signatures to his unique style of painting, but the artist attempts to push his work in new directions through experimentation to help his art practice evolve.
Morrison works concentrates on streetscapes and surf scenes from the west of Ireland. Strong shapes and colour are key signatures of work which help to create interesting compositions and a sense of movement. Another unique feature would be treatment of the sky, often the sky in a painting has no physical relationship with the landscape below it.

Sallyann’s Handmade Bags
Sallyann’s Handmade Bags are created in a small sewing room overlooking Doo Lough and the Atlantic Ocean in West Clare, Ireland, by their creator, Sallyann Marron.
The bags are individual creations, each lined with recycled jeans, making every bag unique. Some of the bags are reversible, allowing the owner to turn the bag inside out, making the bags ideal for shopping, picnics, the beach, the gym or swimming.
The bags combine water repellent fabrics printed with Sallyann’s own designs based on the wildflowers that grow near her home, and recycled denim gleaned from charity shops across the Mid West of Ireland. The designs are simple, useful, practical and beautiful. Each bag is made to the highest quality standards to ensure it is long lasting and will not let its owner down.

Orinoco Fused Glass
Orinoco Fused Glass by Clare Beck is based in a small blue shed at the back of my home in East Co. Clare. As a child, I was at my happiest with a large supply of paper & a pencil case full of colours. So, no surprise that I ended up choosing to study art and went to college in Swansea, Wales, to study Architectural Stained Glass. It was a perfect choice, I loved it!
For many years after finishing college, I worked in a glazing company which allowed me to put into practice all I had learnt and proving wrong anyone who had questioned the validity of studying ‘a dying artform’ Eventually, the time came when I had to accept that I had lost my creative spark and needed a new challenge. What to do next, when glass was what I knew?
