I´m very sad and shocked about the business, you built up at the cliffs in the last few years. It was one of the most fascinating places in Ireland before...now it´s just money money money! Shame on you! You destroyed a dream of so many thousand people all over the world! Shame on you!!!

Management comment - we're sorry you feel that way Peter. The visitor centre is operated on a breakeven basis and not as a money making exercise. The measures put in place at the Cliffs have been done to protect them and the visitor and provide the facilities necessary for the number of visitors

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. We paid to go to Yosemite National Park a couple of years ago in America. Last year in Australia it was $12 per person to go to Uluru. There was no charge to view the Twelve Apostles but there was a parking fee and $5 per person to use the toilts. €6 per person sounds okay to me. Someone has to pay.

Management comment - sorry that you feel that way Gerard. In fact for many families the price will fall to EUR12.00 from EUR21.95. I suppose everyone will have to make up their own mind if that is good value or not.

So now its to be €6 entrance fee because of that white elephant visitor centre some consultant told ye was a good idea for a big fee? Is your plan solely to fleece the tourists while keeping all Irish visitors away?

Management comment - we believe that visitors will find the new charging structure clearer. EUR6.00 per adult with children going free for an inclusive visit.

After just reading that you now plan to charge a "flat fee" of €6 to visit the cliffs, I must say that I am extremley angry. As a teenager I remember regularly visiting the cliffs with my family and thouroughly enjoying the experience. A few years ago I went back with my wife and was shocked to find I had to pay an inflated ammount for a car park, and an Interpretive centre being built. Pardon my ignorance, but a cliff is a cliff, whats to interpret? And a certain Minister has the nerve to state that this country is still good value for tourists!!

You ask what's to interpret - the exhibition includes information on the geology of the cliffs, the wildlife, the human story and legends. EUR6.00 per person with children going free covers all of the facilities including toilets, parking, visitor management, safety & conservation.
